The Required Merit Badges are those a Scout shall accomplish to finish a
Rank while the Specialist Rating Merit Badges are also required but a
Scout may select from the group of merit badges listed under a
Specialist Rating of his choice. Extra Merit Badges are those a Scout
may acquire from his own choosing without any restrictions and
conditions. We will be displaying on this site our
Proposed Specialist Rating Titles. Some titles were changed or
added or sub divided into a job description from the
"13 and Above Handbook",
"Advancement and Merit Badge Handbook" and
"The Senior Scout Program Guidebook" after
studies were made by the KIDS. These Specialist Rating titles will be
submitted to the authorized body for consideration and approval. Please
